With both applications, data is accessed and imported into the application using Microsoft Query, which lets you execute a query though an ODBC source. Within MySQL for Excel, Open a MySQL Connection, click the employee schema, Next, select the location table, click Edit MySQL Data, then choose Import to import the data into a new Microsoft Excel worksheet for editing. Permission can also be added by group so you should check for groups that the user belongs to as well.
